EmiratesSkills’ activities and initiatives focus on achieving the following goals:
Encourage UAE youth to embrace industrial and technological career pathways through TVET conferences, youth forums and seminars.
Prepare the National workforce to serve the industrial and technological growth of the UAE, through integration of TVET in the educational systems, continuous skills - based training, joint training camps with international TVET organizations and practical industry training.
Steadily ensure that competency levels of UAE youth are always measured against global standards by providing opportunities for UAE National youth to participate in skills competitions at regional, continental and international levels such as GCCSkills, WorldSkills Asia, EuroSkills and WorldSkills competitions.
Elevate the competency standards towards professional excellence in the technical, vocational and industrial sectors around UAE through increased competitiveness and continuous benchmarking with International skills standards by organizing the annual EmiratesSkills National competition to test and measure the improvement of skills awareness and aptitude.
Educate UAE’s youth about the importance of their role in serving the growth of their country and instill that “successful industries, forms the base for a strong and sustainable economy only if led by the skillful hands of their youth”. “YestoWork” run by EmiratesSkills is a model for engaging young Emiratis in the retail industry.
Effective use of students’ leisure time through engagement in scientific and technical education exemplified in programs like Skills4life and MILSET Expo-Sciences International.
Revive and instill in the youth UAE’s essence values, traditions and ethics through programs such as Heritage4Life, and Fazaa’s volunteering program.
Fuel UAE’s industries with a workforce of highly trained young UAE nationals through training programs that makes the UAE nationals a first choice for recruitment by industries.
