Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Abu Dhabi Center for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET) announced the opening of electronic registration for citizens aged between 15 and 21 years to join the ninth session of the national initiative “Yes to Work” which will be organized by Abu Dhabi Center for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET) from December 18 to January 5, 2017 in selected business retails in six cities across the UAE, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Zayed City in the Western Region, Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman. Mubarak Saeed Al Shamsi, stressed that the new course of "Yes to Work" comes within the framework of the directives of the wise leadership to develop various means that enable young people to work and invest in various fields that entrench the role of young national cadres in the market The ninth session of the initiative will continue its success in empowering young citizens in general and students -female students in particular- to operate them during part-time school vacations in the retail and private sector sectors, including Who have a distinguished work experience that allows them to identify the mechanisms of work in these areas where those who meet the condition of age can participate for the first time, while those who participated before can complete the rest of the four levels of the program and then complete the requirements that qualify them to obtain the certificate approved by the National Qualifications Authority.

ACTVET launches the 19th edition of "Yes to Work" in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain

The Abu Dhabi Center for Technical and Vocational Education and Training launched the nineteenth session of the successful and distinguished national program "Yes to Work", which will continue until August 26, in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, with the participation of a group of male and female students. ACTVET qualifies 51 engineers in traffic diversions

Education...the balance between "Higher" and "Vocational"

The United Arab Emirates considers the outputs of the education sector, of all kinds, with great importance for two main reasons. The first is the strategic importance of the role played by the citizen who graduates from educational institutions in general and higher education institutions in particular, from a major role in the strategies and programs of Emiratisation set by the state. In this context, the Ministry of Education is working to attract and qualify students to join higher education institutions inside and outside the country, in line with the needs of the labor market. The second reason is the government's focus since the establishment of the state in 1971 on providing education for all citizens to ensure equal education for all, including pre-school education. It is noted that the Ministry of Education is working to develop, develop and implement its strategic objectives to include all stages and institutions of education in the country, including higher education and vocational education, especially after the growing role and importance of the latter in the labor market, given its outstanding skills and practical capabilities that meet the needs of its outputs. Therefore, higher education and vocational education occupies a special importance in the governmental strategic planning process, which focuses on benefiting from national manpower in comprehensive development plans and programs. This contributed to the spread of awareness among segments of citizens at an early age about the importance of engaging in vocational education to obtain a job after graduation in a quick time and with acceptable benefits in light of the high flexibility and continuous changes that the labor market enjoys in the country.
