Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET) hosted the 2nd edition of the WorldSkills Asia Competition Abu Dhabi 2023 from 27th to 29th November at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

WorldSkills Asia Competition Abu Dhabi 2023 provided a great opportunity to advance the country’s educational, economic, and tourism sectors. The event had more than 500 participants including competitors, experts, and workshop managers from over 30 member and guest countries and competed in 27 Technical and Vocational skill categories.
WorldSkills Asia​​ Organization
Amidst a world that values skills above all, in 2018 a transformative journey unfolded. Its mission: was to forge connections throughout Asia via Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).  

Guided by unity, ACTVET & World Skills International brought forth the "WorldSkills Asia organization" to promote excellence in the field of skills and competency development throughout Asia.

The WorldSkills Asia organization is aligned with UAE's strategy and the National Agenda in supporting national and regional technical and vocational education by disseminating knowledge and training.

WorldSkills Asia provides a platform for Asian educators, policymakers, industry partners and other organizations to exchange insights, thoughts and ideas about new trends and inventions, enhance technical and vocational education and training standards, and collaborate with various institutions and organizations to leverage and build sustainable economies.

Focusing on the four major pillars Promoting Skills, Education and Training, International Cooperation and Skills Competitions, WorldSkills Asia is envisioned to be the Asian hub for skills excellence and development, geared towards making a better world through the power of skills.
