Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET) has launched the "Skills Challenge" across all emirates with the aim of empowering students by developing their technical and vocational skills. This event is aligned with the ACTVET’s efforts to provide the Emirati youth with training and educational opportunities to help them develop their skills and prepare them for the future.

The "Skills Challenge" reflects ACTVET's strategy in prioritizing​ Emirati youth to be capable of keeping up with local and global industrial and technological advancement.


About Skills Challenge

Skills Challenge is the first step for competitors to showcase their skills and expertise in various TVET fields. Through this event, students will learn about the benefits of TVET sector and the opportunities available in skill competitions at the national and international levels. The winners of this challenge will be eligible to compete in the Emirates Skills National Competition and then can proceed to represent the country in international competitions.
 
The prospective competitors should meet the following criteria:
  • UAE nationals
  • Age should be between 16 to 21 years for all categories (except for Aircraft Maintenance which from 16 to 24 years)
