In his role as President, Mr. Ali Al Marzouqi has led Emirates Skills since 2007. Through his position, Mr. Ali continuously helps to raise awareness of vocational and technological education around the world, especially in developing countries. He also ensures that high-quality technical standards are achieved, in order to attract more countries to join and benefit from world-class vocational and technological competition. 

Under Mr. Ali’s leadership, EmiratesSkills took the initiative to​ establish the Gulf Cooperative Council (GCC) Skills Competition, now renamed WorldSkillsGCC. The first contest was hosted in the UAE by EmiratesSkills in 2008 in the city of Al Ain. Mr. Ali has been the Technical Delegate for the UAE team at WorldSkills Competition since 2009 and acted as a Jury President during WorldSkills Calgary 2009 and as Jury President Team leader in WorldSkills Leipzig 2013. 

Mr. Ali is currently member of the Board of Directors of WorldSkills. These responsibilities and experience have​ enriched his technical experience at the international level, enhancing his career progression and providing qualifications that have added value to the positions he has held. Mr. Ali was Vice Principle of IAT Dubai from 2005 to 2008 and Senior Manager Student Services for IAT campuses from 2008 to 2010. 

​He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Work Force Education and Development from Pennsylvania State University (USA) and an Associate Degree in Computer Information Systems (Microcomputer Specialist) from Pennsylvania College of Technology. ​​​​​
